World Drowning Prevention Day

World Drowning Prevention Day, declared by the United Nations General Assembly in April 2021 is acknowledged annually on 25 July. This day serves to highlight the tragic and preventable impact of drowning on families and communities and to promote life-saving solutions to prevent it.  Everyday, Water Safety NZ works to help our community partners and collaborate across the water safety community to reduce the burden of drowning.
